REASON FOR SEEKING POSITION
With my experience and education I feel I would be an asset to our Sun Valley Community. I have lived in the Truckee Meadows since 1959 and in SUN VALLEY since 1970, this is our community & home. Many things are being redone and I don't want to leave them un-done. We are trying to provide our customers with better waste disposal (Garbage) rates. We are trying to get recycling started. (maybe we can benefit from it) I did vote for the recreational powers, but not for the fee. I wanted the handicapped, disabled and seniors to be 100% exempt from all recreational fees. The Board of Trustees you have are the ones keeping down the cost. These same trustees fought and won to keep the wholesale price to SVGID down. I understand the hard times we are all going through as I'm retired and live on social security, so when I look at the expenses I know how hard it is to pay the bills. I always look out for our customers best interest. When the District spends monies I always ask questions, and make sure it is spent right just like I was spending my own monies. Please retain me as Trustee of the Sun Valley General Improvement District. I have been married for 52 years to my wife Phyllis, we have a son John Jr. 51 a daughter Deborah 44 a granddaughter Rochelle 21 and last but not least Great Grandson Kyler John 10-1/2 months old. I know I can work closely with Washoe County commissioners and the politicians and get the work done. My wife and I have always been activists and advocates for Sun Valley, the children and seniors. Both my wife and myself are members of the H.O.P.E. Nazarene I'm Treasurer, and on the leadership team, we both volunteer and with the No.Nev.Food Bank and H.O.P.E. Nazarene Food Pantry
